Men's Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2024 has officially wrapped in Paris but the hype is still going strong. Of course, it’s all thanks to the creative prowess of some of the best designers, coupled with viral moments that brought attendees heaps of entertainment and new celebrity ambassadors for fans to fawn over.

Ahead, we highlight some of BAZAAR’s favourites from the likes of Dior, Prada, LOEWE and more this past season.

Florals For Spring

Not the most revolutionary design to fall back on but we’ve noticed a major change in how flora are being incorporated. Both Mrs Prada and Raf Simons did not just slap on prints and call it a day; the creative duo gave traditional shirting life with blooms of painted resin flowers from the pockets and across the front. Dolce & Gabbana also showcased sprouting flowers from boutonnieres on suits to appliques wrapped around shirts and pants.

Textures For Days

Milan Fashion Week has always been known for being more expressive when it comes to hues, but this time around designers such as MSGM, Etro and JW Anderson took things up a notch with various dynamic prints, shiny silk and three-dimensional knits, capturing the fun in fashion intrinsically.

Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Debut

Expectations for the designer and musician were astronomical this season, especially after the mixed reactions when the new appointment was announced. Fortunately, Pharrell went beyond delivering pop culture moments by reviving the house’s Damier print while introducing his own spin on things in pixelated camouflage, refreshing the Speedy and tailored suits with matching shorts, a look that the singer is known for rocking.

Powerhouse Support

Louis Vuitton started off Paris Fashion Week with a bang gathering a ton of A-listers from Kim Kardashian and Zendaya to music’s hottest power couples Rihanna and A$AP Rocky and Beyoncé and Jay-Z, all of whom were showing their love and support for Pharrell’s big moment. After-party guests were also treated to a special performance with the creative director and Jay-Z.

That’s not all, head designers and creative directors of several other brands were also spotted front-row at other shows such as Jeremy Scott and Jonathan Anderson at Louis Vuitton, Daniel Roseberry, Rick Owens and Olivier Rouseting at Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s runway presentation.

Big Yellow Boots With Holes

We can always count on Tommy Cash to pull something out of left field. At the Rick Owens SS24 show, the rapper arrived in a mime costume and while that was a little on the nose for Paris, he upped the ante with MSCHF’s newest collaboration with Crocs modelled after the Big Red Boots – now in a bright yellow colourway, plenty of holes and the acclaimed “sports mode” strap.

Cash served even more at the Doublet show dressed as a dinner table – white linen cloth, tableware, cutlery and food included. This energy matched the label’s wacky presentation with models rolling out in hoverboards.

Crystals Galore

Elongated garments have definitely emerged high on the trends list this season as seen on LOEWE’s runway but Jonathan Anderson delivered something even more captivating – monochromatic crystal-encrusted clothes, sunglasses and bags. Although the glittery y2k trend has died down, Anderson proves that expert use of campy materials continues to have a place in the mainstream.

K-pop Mania

Brands are no strangers to the K-pop scene anymore, most of which have appointed idols as global brand ambassadors. But that didn't stop fans from cheering all over the world when announcements were made that both NCT’s Taeyong and Seventeen’s Vernon became the newest ambassadors for LOEWE and KENZO respectively on the same day prior to the shows.

Iconic Venues

Designers love to put on a good show with novel delights such as Prada’s slime-dripping ceiling. Venues also play a crucial role – Pharrell chose Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris that is coincidentally a stone’s throw away from Louis Vuitton’s Head Office, Dior staged their collection at the futuristic interiors of École-Militaire and Jacquemus closes out Paris Fashion Week at Versailles, known for the majestic palace, gardens and rich political history.

The designer staged the presentation along the canal with a 400-metre runway while guests were seated on boats floating on the riverside.
