This season, Matthew Williams continues to exude the captivating charm of the Givenchy gentleman through his creations, trading the grunge cool and abundance of silver hardware of the previous season for relaxed and stripped-back styles.

The artful staging in Hôtel des Invalides, a historic military monument, was apt for a collection that focused on classic tailoring, structure and silhouette.

The palette of white, black, grey, green dominated suiting elements—double-breasted jackets, oversized coats, and fresh pleating—while pops of navy, yellow, and pink ensured wearability of cool, sports-influenced styles. Williams also played with the idea of contrasts, giving T-shirts, vests and tunics interesting silhouettes by integrating bum-bags, hiking sacks and backpacks.
