As long as nail polish and designer logos have coexisted, women have been painting them on their nails. Still a staple of street culture, the trend has infiltrated the runways several times in recent years. But with the rise of athleisure in fashion, and as our preference for nail art has shifted toward the clean and graphic, logo nails have begun popping up once again in designer collections—and on the well-manicured tips of some of our favorite celebrities. It's an inexpensive and artful way to display your love for your favorite brands—even if it may not be totally legal. But isn't that half the fun?

Marc Jacobs

Manicurist Jin Soon was responsible for the nails backstage at Marc Jacobs's fall show, where she mixed a "glamorous" base color (a new deep burgundy Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Nail Lacquer shade launching later this year) with logo nail studs that Jacobs himself had sourced. Some models had the full set of "Marc Jacobs" glued across each nail, while others had a double "J" logo fastened to just their pinky nail.

Tommy Hilfiger
