Ribbons and scarves

There's something decidedly powerful about a simple black ribbon tied around a sleek ponytail. Leave the schoolgirl innocence behind by dressing it with mature styling choices such as a simple low ponytail or a messy bun as seen on the models at the Erdem show. So sophisticated, so feminine and chic to boot. There's so much room for creativity, you can even use a skinny, printed scarf for an added je ne sias quoi.

Stylized Bobby Pins

Traditionally, bobby pins are invisible styling secrets to provide structure to your hair. But whether it’s simple designs or jewels embellished, the Versace and Rodarte shows broke the taboos by fastening them on very visible areas of the models' heads. Our favourite look would have to be the hair slides that Gigi Hadid has worn on the Versace show in Milan. Switch up for one with bolder embellishments if you're feeling adventurous. If a tiara is too much to expect, a bejewelled hairpin is the next closest thing to a crowning glory.

Statement Headbands

Ditch the sporty, elastic headbands impression, rethink comfortable chic with a luxurious edgy vibe. Gucci played the cards well for this one. Its collection of fabric headbands rocked the streets in late 2017 and now, it's cooler than ever. At Tom Ford's '80s-themed show, models including Kaia Gerber donned leather headbands that stretched across the top of their foreheads, slightly covering the ears, emanating confidence from the grungy aesthetics.
