Kim Kardashian is famous for her, um, assets. And recently she gave her followers a peek into the training strategy that goes into maintaining that fit behind. (BRB, grabbing a pencil and paper.)

The KUWTK star just shared an Instagram photo of herself at the gym working out with her trainer Mel Alcantara (a.k.a. "Fit Gurl Mel"). She'swearing a black sports bra and leggings and leaning on a weight machine, with her booty front and center.

The caption reads, "We’re back in the gym heavy! I would say every 6 months I take two weeks off from lifting. Sometimes you just need a break to recharge and chill but then I miss it so much and feel so good to be back at it 🏋🏽‍♀️"

Kim has shared Instagram videos working on her squat technique before, and it is a killer. Alcantara says Kim's sweat sessions are at least an hour, and they work out six days a week.

"When it comes to booty and legs, we usually work out for an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes," Alcantara previously told Women's Health. "You want to work out efficiently and be smart about it."

Definitely interesting that Kim says resting is also an important part of her routine.

Rest days are key to making fitness progress, Matthew Stults-Kolehmainen, Ph.D., a post-doctoral fellow in exercise science at Columbia University, previously told Women's Health. That's because exercise creates tiny tears in your muscles, and those are repaired (making your muscles even stronger than they were before) on rest days.

So kudos to Kim for making time for recovery and feeling good about her workouts!
