If anyone is going to pull off a model-off-duty hair moment at the Met Gala, it's Gisele Bündchen. While others on the carpet went with slick ponytails and dramatic bouffants, the Brazilian supermodel opted for effortlessly undone beach waves finished with Sol de Janeiro's best-selling Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil.

Gisele's hairstyle brought a cool ease to her show-stopping Met Gala outfit: a white sequin-embellished Chanel dress and feather-trimmed cape—both archival pieces Gisele wore in an August 2007 editorial photographed by Karl Lagerfeld himself for Harper's BAZAAR Korea.

“We went for a quintessential Gisele, accentuated by a beautiful natural wave," David Von Cannon, the hairstylist behind Gisele's 2023 Met Gala look, shares with BAZAAR.com. To accentuate Gisele's natural texture, Von Cannon dried her hair lightly using a diffuser on low speed, adding water and drying to create texture as he went "to mimic the natural texture created by getting in and out of the water at the beach." Then, he minimised tangles and created consistent volume and texture throughout with a wide-tooth comb.

For a finish that's "light and airy with maximum shine,” Von Cannon added a small amount of Sol de Janeiro's Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil to the middle and ends of Gisele's hair. The cult-favourite finishing oil features a blend of patauá and pequi oils, which are rich with omega fatty acids and antioxidants that fight frizz and restore hydration without leaving you feeling greasy.

But what truly sets Sol de Janeiro's hair oil apart is the subtle yet irresistible scent it leaves behind. Fans of the brand's best-selling Brazilian Bum Bum Body Cream will be pleased to hear it has the same Cheirosa '62 fragrance with notes of vanilla, salted caramel, and pistachio.

Gisele's $34 hair oil can be found on SephoraRevolveAmazon—and on the desks of BAZAAR staffers, mine included. As someone with unruly curls and an addiction to hot tools, it's my go-to hair product for mid-day touch-ups and minimizing frizz. The warm, gourmand scent is truly delicious, and it does wonders to diguise my split ends.

Now, post-Met Gala, I can't help but feel a bit like Gisele each time I use it. Because as Von Cannon put it, "Adding in the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil after is perfect because it adds shine and emphasizes texture without weighing it down."
