This is the second televised concert Adele has hosted since she delayed her Las Vegas residency due to COVID-19. CBS aired Adele’s One Night Only concert, which was filmed in Los Angeles, last November. The singer shared photos of the memorable night on her Instagram at the time, writing, “Home Sweet Home. I’ve always dreamt of doing An Audience With… There was so much love in the room for each other, it felt like such a gig! Everyone was raucous and bang up for it! And my teacher Ms McDonald was there, it was just heaven.”

On January 20, Adele announced the delay of her residency in a teary video apology to fans. At the time, she said that half her team had gotten COVID-19 and were still recovering, and it had been “impossible to finish the show.”

It’s still unclear when the residency will pick up, but Adele said during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in February that the performances will “absolutely, 100 percent” be happening before the end of the year.
