David Honoured Anniversary With Victoria Beckham In A Sweet Throwback Photo

David Beckham commemorated wife Victoria and their 24 years of marriage with a nostalgic heartfelt post on social media over the weekend.

On Instagram yesterday, the soccer star shared a sweet throwback photo of himself and the Spice Girl taken when they were in their 20s, just days after their wedding on July 1999. In the photo, the Beckhams are sitting in a kitchen, each holding one of their cocker spaniels.
“On this day 4.7.99 ❤️ 24 years and counting 👵🏼 👴🏼,” the former soccer star wrote in the caption. “To the best wife , mummy & drinking partner ( most of the time 🤪 ) Happy Anniversary love u so much ❤️.”
Victoria also commemorated her anniversary with David in a post of her own. She shared a string of more recent photos alongside kids Romeo, 20, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 11. (Eldest son Brooklyn, 24, was not present.) The carousel featured family snapshots of their festivities in London over the weekend to celebrate the occasion, leading with a shot of Victoria sitting beside her daughter in a car on the way to dinner. The designer wore a sleek white blazer and matching slacks, while Harper wore a blue floral sundress paired with a white vintage Louis Vuitton pochette featuring the brand’s famous monogram in rainbow.
“Last night in London celebrating our 24 year wedding anniversary,” she wrote. “Love you all so much x.”

The Beckhams frequently show off their lasting love on social media, usually in the form of sweet throwback photos. This Valentine’s Day, they celebrated their relationship with throwback posts that similarly featured sweet moments with each other from their younger years.
David opted for a photo of himself with Victoria at dinner from around their wedding day. “Happy Valentines to my valentine 🌹 we Love You,” he wrote on behalf of himself and their kids.
Victoria, meanwhile, shared an old photo of herself embracing David on one of their tropical vacations. “26 years and still my Valentine,” she wrote. “I love you so much @davidbeckham 💕💕💕💕 kisses.”
David and Victoria first met circa 1997 at the Manchester United soccer players’ lounge during one of David’s matches. Two years later, on July 4, 1999, they married in a lavish ceremony held at Luttrellstown Castle, near Dublin.

“[Love] will happen to you in the Manchester United players’ lounge—although you will get a little drunk, so exact details are hazy,” Victoria recalled to British Vogue in September 2016.
And in his autobiography, David wrote of their first meeting, “It felt straight away like we’d always been meant to be together.”
