Halle Berry is no stranger to edgy power suits on the red carpet, but now allow her to introduce a new form of dressing: the power jumpsuit.

On Wednesday (April 27), the Bruised director shared photos of her wearing a gold sequinned jumpsuit, a look that channeled the energy of '70s-era rock stars. The glittering piece, courtesy of womenswear brand Amen, featured long sleeves, flared legs, a draped waistline, and a plunging low-cut neckline. She accentuated the dramatic neckline by wearing a gold cross necklace and further accessorised with gold double-hoop earrings from French jewellery brand Mara Paris and Pasquale Bruni rings.

While promoting Bruised, a sports drama in which she also stars, last year, Berry once again upped the ante on unconventional red-carpet dressing.

During the AFI Fest premiere of the film, the actress wore a metallic suit designed by Pamella Roland. The bold look included a cropped jacket with black lapels, flared trousers, and a strapless top with sheer corset detailing on the bodice.

And then, during a screening in New York City, Berry suited up once more, that time in a floral velvet iteration that featured a top with lace crisscrossing over her chest and another deep-V cut.

In conversation with Ava DuVernay last November, Berry opened up about her directorial debut, per The Hollywood Reporter.

"I know that women of colour have to keep telling their stories because we have a definitive point of view," she said. "I hope I'll be afforded another opportunity to get behind the camera and tell another story that I'm passionate about," she later added.
