Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia is one of the platform's most riveting series as it balances comedy and drama perfectly. Brianne Howey, who plays Georgia, demonstrates the lengths a mother will go to protect her children while doing her best to lift their spirits despite her own trauma. The series was renewed for two more seasons after the second season went live earlier this year, so we can look forward to seeing more of Howey. It’s worth noting that the first season, which aired in 2021, was watched by 52 million subscribers in its first 28 days–if that isn’t enough to get you to watch the show, we don’t know what is.

Netflix sure has a knack for finding talented young adult stars. The 20-year-old American actress stars as a 15-year-old high schooler who tragically loses her parents in an accident and has to uproot her entire life in My Life with the Walter Boys. It’s difficult to tackle such a complex character with a harrowing premise but Nikki Rodriguez delivers an outstanding performance that has earned the series a second season, which was announced just two weeks after its release in early December.

Park Gyu-young’s first foray into the Netflix universe as a main lead in Celebrity was definitely an interesting one: she plays the role of a run-of-the-mill salesperson who gets dragged into the world of influencers, eventually experiencing the ugliness that comes with fame. Park will also reprise her role in the third season of Sweet Home, which is set to premiere in 2024, and plays one of the leads in the highly anticipated sophomore season of Squid Game.

From working at Legoland to portraying a young and fictitious version of Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, Meg Bellamy sure has made her mark in the final season of The Crown. With little prior acting experience, the young British actress spent months preparing for the role; bringing her costumes home to practise her lines while dressed as the character. She also read books and walked around her house in those costumes to truly embody the Princess and do her justice–and that she did.
