Save The Date: BAZAAR Asia New Generation Award Is Back!

Get ready!

Winner of last year's competition, Kok Leong Vee from Malaysia and his checker board-inspired collection

Mark your calenders, as Harper’s BAZAAR Asia New Generation Fashion Designer Award returns this May, for its third consecutive year. We're proud to be hosting the final runway showdown, as ten designers from 5 different countries—Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam—battle it out for the top spot.

To be held during Singapore Fashion Week 2015, the winner of the competition will be awarded a scholarship for a Master’s degree in fashion from the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in either its Paris, London or Milan campuses. Look forward to donning the winner's works, as he or she will also have the opportunity to retail their collection to a global market through online retailer, Inverted Edge. Over and above all this, the winner and all 10 finalists’ collections will be showcased in the five sponsoring Asian editions of Harper’s BAZAAR.

Harper’s BAZAAR is always looking to nurture new and emerging designers; it’s part of our DNA,” says Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore, Kenneth Goh. “This contest is a great launch pad for young designers looking to achieve commercial and editorial success. With an international platform like Singapore Fashion Week, the talented youth of this region get to showcase their hard work and stunning, curated designs—to editors, buyers and other industry cognoscenti.”

The five editors from Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam will be on the judging panel in this regional competition. So save the date, time and place—16 May, 4PM at the tent at Ngee Ann City. We'll see you there!
