Every now and then, a product comes along that you know is wholly unsuitable for your lifestyle, but you happily splurge your entire paycheque on it. However, unlike cream suede loafers that are destined for disaster in our wet British weather or skintight leather trousers that you know will never be comfortable enough to actually wear, Saint Laurent's latest offering is one that could never be convincingly described as a sensible investment piece.

Priced at S$3590, they may not result in the best cost-per-wear of everything in your wardrobe, but will definitely be the most interesting shoes you've ever purchased. Our top tip? Avoid wearing them if you've had a few cocktails.
