It seems that even the effortlessly cool Victoria Beckham can't resist a Disney princess moment. Yesterday, the designer sent a rainbow of glittery Cinderella shoes down the catwalk – and might just have created the cult item of the upcoming season (and it's only four days into fashion month).

A little like Saint Laurent's sequin boots from autumn/winter 2017, Beckham's sparkly shoes - available in both a court and mule style - tick all the right boxes in that they are show stopping, head-turning and worthy of a fairytale, but aren't too kitsch or sweet.

"I've always been a bit of a magpie," the designer told Vogue of the new collection. "There's something happy and girlie about sparkle."

She was, of course, partly inspired by her young daughter Harper, telling The Telegraphthat the six-year-old really wants the red pair: "You can tell I've got a little girl when you look at these".

Although the shoes might look like they belong in a fairytale, that's certainly not how Beckham styled them.

"Wear it with daywear; turn it on its head then it's not too sweet," she said after teaming them on the catwalk with pastel day dresses, loose-fit trousers and bold, structured pieces rather than anything too feminine. "I would wear mine with jeans," she added.

But whether you plan to style yours with casual denim or with your fanciest evening wear, we have a feeling there's going to be a serious waiting list for these, so keep your eyes peeled.
