Balenciaga has partnered global online fashion retail giant Farfetch to launch a leather, fur and down-free limited edition collection that champions species conservation.
Spanning across ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories for women, men and kids, the exclusive capsule features illustrations of threatened animal species such as the Northern White Rhinoceros, the Asian Elephant, the Blue Whale and the Giant Panda on selected products. The new release also comprises reworked Balenciaga pieces in previously unseen colourways and fabrics.
In tandem with the launch of its creative campaign shot against natural landscapes, Balenciaga will make a contribution to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in an effort to raise awareness to threatened species and support the conservation actions of the world’s largest environmental network.
