Bar Refaeli On Feeling Confident In Lingerie

Since launching her modelling career in Sports Illustrated in 2007, Bar Refaeli has become a pro at feeling very confident when wearing very little. She's the new face of Agent Provocateur, and we caught up with the Israeli model to discuss the importance of good-quality lingerie and find out how she prepares for an underwear shoot.

What is it about lingerie that makes it so special and worth spending money on?

"It's the closest thing to your body. It's what makes you feel sexy and special. Therefore it has to be good quality."

What do you do to help you feel more confident in underwear?

"I work out! Since it's not just my husband who sees me in lingerie, but the whole world, I have to make sure I feel comfortable. So I work out a lot. Today it's more for my soul but it definitely also helps my confidence."

How do you prepare for an underwear photo-shoot?

"Since I am a sportsaholic – I'm constantly working out – I don't need to do anything special. But I will avoid wine and heavy foods the night before."

What's your go-to workout?

"I love TRX mixed with weights and cardio – and I can't live without Pilates."

What advice would you give a man looking to buy lingerie for his wife or girlfriend for Christmas?

"Buy what you like. Your girlfriend would love to be sexy for you, which means she will like anything you like."

Why did you want to work with Agent Provocateur?

"I love what the brand represents. I love how high end and aspirational they are, but still cool. Their lingerie is so sexy but also fun and flirty. It's playful and cheeky."
