Think of festival fashion and Kate Moss at Glastonbury probably immediately springs to mind. The British supermodel has attended for years – and is always the best-dressed attendee. Although it is not easy to pick her best look, this gold, belted mini dress and wellies during a very muddy 2005 is probably the most memorable.

Another keen Glastonbury attendee is Alexa Chung, who always brings her low-key, understated glamour to the festival. One of her best looks has to be the silver slip dress she wore in 2014, which could easily have been worn on to a dinner date, but she gave a very Glastonbury spin with short Hunter wellies and a Barbour jacket.

Known as the queen of Boho chic, Sienna Miller always uses the festival to hark back to her roots. In 2014, she wore a floppy suede hat, a black mini dress, boots and a red embroidered jacket that she could easily have been seen in over a decade ago.

Poppy Delevingne knows how to put a grown-up and non-clichéd spin on festival fashion – and it is all down to mixing it up. Glossy touches (like the lace-up boots and navy leather bag) are paired with more obvious festival pieces, including her sheepskin leather jacket, hoodie and floaty, floral dress.

British actress Emma Watson is known for her refined and polished style on the red carpet, so it was great to see her translate this into a festival look. In 2010, the Harry Potter star teamed a corset and knee-high boots with denim shorts and a very chic side braid.

Always one to be playful with her style, Glastonbury gives Adwoa Aboah even more opportunity to have fun with her look – and push the boundaries she does. Take this ensemble from 2017, which saw her opt for seriously wide-leg camouflage trousers, a beret and some yellow-tinted sunnies.

In 2015, Cressida Bonas demonstrated how to nail a sunny, but muddy, Glastonbury day. The actress wore a striped cotton two-piece with Hunter wellies, sunnies and an oversized white denim shirt. So easy to recreate and effortlessly chic.

One star who is often on the stage as well as the fields is Florence Welch, who knows a thing or two about festival style. The singer is proof that floaty, beachy dresses work for the event – simply team with chunky, lace-up boots and lots of gold jewellery.

Model Suki Waterhouse displayed one of the most classic Glastonbury looks in 2017, opting to shun feathers, flower crowns and other festival fashion in favour of a chic Breton, denim shorts, Hunter wellies and a raincoat. Sensible yet cool.

If you are all about athleisure, then look to Cara Delevingne's most recent Glastonbury look, which was comfort all over. Striped Olivia von Halle cashmere trackies were teamed with a cherry-print sweatshirt, a rain jacket and booties.
