I started designing… as a hobby and selling my designs to Heidi Klein in London. After a few years, I noticed there was a continuous demand for the product, so I decided to make my own design with a primary focus.

The Balinese influence you will see in my brand…
is the hand-batik print, which makes the prints a little rough around the edges, which in turns looks more beautiful. I’m not into perfection.

Cloe Cassandro the luxury beachwear brand is about… timeless style with a twist. I tend to keep the core of my collections seemingly timeless with a focus on classic shapes whether it is a slip dress, a shirt dress or a wrap. And then I will bring in a few new pieces each season that will be more on trend. The main things that I like to change are the prints and the colours.

My top travel destinations are… Italy – I have a massive draw to Italy because of my heritage. It’s such beautiful diverse country. I feel like I am at home when I travel there. Not to mention the incredible food! Another place is India. The reason is because of its incredibly raw nature. What you see is what you get and I feel it’s a wonderful place to learn creatively and spiritually.

I love listening to… reggae when I’m on holiday and also old classics like Paul Simon and Van Morrison that remind me of driving to Spain with my family as a child.
