One shoe style rose above the rest (literally).
Fall’s biggest fashion trends debuted last February on the runway, and to say a lot has happened since then would be an understatement. Here, a brief sample of the moments taking up mental real estate over Prada tank tops and Matthieu Blazy's first Bottega collection since I last saw them: A hot pink wave originating at Valentino hypnotized us all into dressing like Malibu Barbie. JW Anderson's pigeon bag roosted in our collective consciousness. Then there was the whole negroni...sbagliato...with prosecco in it thing. But all those moments and countless TikTok-cores later, the time for revisiting the fall 2022 collections is here as they're finally available to shop. Personally, I could use a refresher on what came down the autumn catwalks—let alone the ones worthy of roping into my wardrobe.
These are the times when I'm grateful for a direct line to fashion's most influential minds (and closets). I asked fashion directors from Shopbop, Neiman Marcus, and FWRD, as well as my most-trusted BAZAAR editors, for the fall 2022 bag, shoe, jewelry, and clothing trends worth shopping this season. None of the following 13 looks ahead hinge on a single item by a single designer: You can shop the experts' exact suggestions for an insider-verified take, or you can save them as inspiration for a purchase 100 percent chosen by you. And while their items came directly from the fall runways, some have staying power beyond this specific moment in time. For example?
