The Last Time We Saw Blake Lively's Vintage Chanel Dress, It Was Worn By A Princess

Not one but two royals have been seen in Blake's dress before

Blake Lively is currently on a fashion tour de force as she promotes her latest film, All I See Is You. But in the sea of gorgeous red-carpet ensembles Lively has been wearing, one gown with a very interesting pedigree stands out from the rest. Allow me to explain:

Lively stepped out wearing this metallic Chanel gown with strappy silver sandals. Being Blake Lively, she looked predictably gorgeous:

With a bit of sleuthing, we quickly figured out that Lively's dress originally appeared in Chanel's Spring / Summer 2007 Haute Couture show back in January 2007 in Paris:

And thanks to T&C's extensive knowledge of royal ensembles, this exact Chanel dress has previously been seen on not one but two royals: Beatrice Borromeo, the wife of Pierre Casiraghi (who is currently seventh in line to the throne in Monaco), and Caroline, Princess of Hanover, AKA Pierre's mother and the daughter of the one and only Grace Kelly. Got that all?

Royals

Hollywood royalty and actual royalty apparently have similar tastes.
