Cardi B, Shakira, Naomi Watts And Elegant Simplicity At Fendi Couture Fall/Winter 2023
Timeless, wearable and elegant.
Fendi's Spring/Summer 2023 Haute Couture collection was all about eveningwear—it was timeless, wearable and undoubtedly elegant. From beige to jewel tones, body-hugging dresses with drape detailing opened the show along with the house’s newest high jewellery pieces and clutches held tightly to the chest of models who did not crack so much as a smile or a twitch of the brow while doing so.
The tight gowns then transitioned seamlessly, making way for glittery, fluid couture with fabric wrapped around the waist—accentuating the figures of the models. Closing out the show, tailored jackets and skirts fully encrusted with crystals bounced light at every angle, solidifying themselves as the show’s main event.

“This season, we wanted to concentrate on the achievement of fluidity, drape, and shape through couture techniques, bringing these elements together with the attitude of today. We worked on a template based on Delfina [Delettrez Fendi]’s high jewellery. If there is no jewellery, the idea is still present through the colour palette and embellishment in the collection; the clothes themselves take on the idea of jewellery,” said Kim Jones of the collection.
Cardi B, Shakira, Suki Waterhouse, Naomi Watts and many other celebrities had an upfront and personal view of Fendi's mesmerising collection as looks marched out in symphonic unison with the accompanying opera track.
