Liv Tyler Opens Up About Her Best Fashion Moments And Female Friendship

Liv Tyler is the latest actress to join online retailer MyTheresa's series of interviews with stylish women. The series has been ongoing since December 2013 and other notables to be interviewed include Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung, Diane Kruger, Clémence Poésy, and Carine Roitfeld among others. In the interview, she opens up about everything from her earliest style influences to the her deep connections with some of fashion's notable names right now. Here's what we gleaned from it:

1. On her undying love of Alexander McQueen

"I was going through my storage and I found all these gowns that Alexander McQueen made for me... and this amazing black feathered cape — I'm [still] very excited about that piece."

2. On her earliest fashion influences

"I cannot say there's one [fashion influence] specifically. My grandmother is incredibly elegant — very detail-oriented with her taste — and my mother was always a very free spirit. I would watch her get dressed, and she was always in bands and a little more rock 'n' roll. So I had that mix of classic and this rebellious, fresh thing."

3. On her creative relationship with designers

"I'll ask Stella or Jack and Lazaro from Proenza Schouler or Givenchy... that's one of the things I feel so grateful for... being able to have those close personal relationships. You can rely on them and they can rely on you."
