This Is Where Louis Vuitton Is Headed To For Their Next Cruise Collection
It's set to be even bigger than last year's Rio extravaganza
Louis Vuitton is headed to Japan! The brand today announced that their Cruise '18 runway show will be housed in an undisclosed Japanese location on 14 May, marking a significant departure from the brand's Rio de Janeiro extravaganza last year.
In the last few years Cruise collections have become increasingly important for the luxury houses, with the runway shows becoming some of the most star-studded events on the fashion industry's calendar. Where Louis Vuitton showed in Brazil last year (drawing a crowd that included Alicia Vikander, Selena Gomez and Jaden Smith), Gucci showed in London's Westminster Abbey and Chanel took over Cuba.
This season is bound to be as big, with Dior headed to Los Angeles and Chanel returning home to Paris.
