Harper's BAZAAR Singapore: What are your fashion “security blankets”?
Kim Lim: I always have my Saint Laurent leather jacket with me to keep warm and amp up any outfit—I love how it edges up a romantic lace dress. I’m also obsessed with Stella McCartney’s platform Oxfords. They offer me a much-needed height boost and match everything without sacrificing comfort.

HB: Do you have any insecurities when it comes to your looks?
KL: I’m most conscious about my arms, which need a lot more gym time, so I’m usually in flattering silhouettes with sleeves. Another big insecurity of mine is body scars. I’m such a klutz, but that’s something body makeup and comfy shoes help to fix.
HB: When do you feel most beautiful?
KL: I love fresh, radiant skin so I feel most beautiful after a work out when I have that dewy glow—or a revitalising V-lift facial. Also, my hair is my crowning glory; so a pampering blowout at kimrobinson never fails to add that extra oomph to how I look and feel.

HB: How are you giving back to society?
KL: I’ve been heavily involved in charity and community events for years now, and social media is my platform of choice to raise awareness. Recently, I activated volunteers via Instagram to help out with the distribution of food supplies and other necessities for the elderly; and to spread the word on animal adoption.

HB: How do you hope to inspire?
KL: I’ve always been one to admit to my own flaws and embrace my true self without apology. I believe in being ambitious and wearing confidence first. With that, I hope others can relate to me on a deeper level.
