How Christy Turlington, Caroline De Maigret & Elisa Sednaoui Celebrate Girl Power In Style
The three style mavens are crazy about this beautiful accessory that's all for a good cause
So International Women's Day had come and passed, but celebrating the power of womanhood is forever. One Million Sisters, a social campaign founded by film maker Laetitia Belmadani and her sister Katia, was built to further women's social and economic empowerment, tapping on social organizations like Pro Mujer, Every Mother Counts and Care International to support this female empowerment cause.
One Million Sisters' collaboration with Turkish luxury handbag brand, Manu Atelier (we hear Bella Hadid is a fan), birthed this chic embossed leather bracelet in a delicate nude hue with silver or gold accents. What we love about this charming arm candy is that it goes beyond making a fashion statement with the message of supporting women across borders and treating one another like sisters. Talk about beauty with substance.
Of the bracelet, Belmadani says, “It is a symbol of gratitude towards a ‘sister’, who may be your best friend, your mother or your very own sister. When she wears the bracelet, the nude colour on the outside is a reminder, a symbol of her essence. The gold or silver colour on the inside, a symbol of her shine.”
The campaign is fronted by high-profile women like American supermodel Christy Turlington Burns, French model/author/music producer Caroline de Maigret, and Italian model/actress/social entrepreneur Elisa Sednaoui, all supporters of female rights. Sisterhood couldn't get more beautiful than this.
The One Million Sisters bracelet is available for €70 (about SGD$160), sold exclusively at Stylebop.com from 8 March 2016 onwards.
