Valentino Is Bringing The Pink PP Celebrations To Singapore

Pink is powerful. Pink is unrepeatable. Pink is immersive. This is the manifesto that Valentino and creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli proclaim with its new hue. It identifies as the colour of love, community, energy and freedom.

Recognised as Pink PP by Valentino with the Pantone Color Institute, you may have seen the bright and bold hue splashed across the red carpets worldwide thanks to the likes of Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Dua Lipa who have embraced it with open arms. The draw of the shade can also be thanked in part to the burgeoning Barbiecore trend.

In conjunction with the Valentino Pink PP Fall/Winter 2022-23 collection, the monochrome is celebrated worldwide with events ranging from guerrilla projections to worldwide physical activations starting from September. London, for example, will see the cinema in Selfridges transform into a Valentino Pink PP Club night; event while a partnership with Hypebeast will take place in New York for an opening party with DJ sets.

Valentino boutiques will also see a makeover as the Pink PP becomes the focal point. Windows and indoor spaces will be turned Pink PP to highlight the materials and fabrics. Meanwhile, a Pink PP Certificate of Authenticity will be provided at selected stores worldwide and on Valentino.com to mark the value over time to the creative process of making these pieces.

Notable retailers, including Antonia in Milan, Selfridges in London, Saks Fifth Avenue and Hypebeast in New York, will celebrate the collection through dedicated indoor installations and window displays to captivate shoppers. 

Pink PP will also take over notable locations globally. Coastal city Aranya in Qinhuangdao, China will see a series of installations and a pop-up store from September 21 till the end of October, while Seoul Wave Art Center by the Han River will be lit up in Pink PP and host a celebratory rooftop cocktail party from September 21 to 23.

Digitally, Valentino will partner with creative minds in the spheres of photography, art and video to bring new and varied perspectives to the hue. Inclusivity and interactivity will be key thrusts to invite the online community into the Pink PP universe.

Singapore will not be left out either. Our island nation will be part of a string of club parties starting from Plastic in Milan to Beam and Daphne in Bangkok and New York. The local celebration will take place on Friday, September 16 at Marquee in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, from 9.30pm till late.
