FRED Taps On The French Riviera For Its Newest Happy Blue Shades High Jewellery Collection

Let the blue light in

Maison FRED has unveiled their latest novelties – dubbed the Happy Blue Shades – inspired by a composition of aquatic hues hailing from the French Riviera, lovingly remembered by founder Fred Samuel.

Drawing from his childhood memories, the jeweller fell for the sensational Mediterranean Sea, and its rich azure colour palette that changes as the sun travels across the sky.

Of course, that’s not all. The blue shades also represent the glamorous landscapes and the French way of life that bursts forth on the beaches or at dazzling pools, sipping blue curaçao cocktails and partying 'til one’s heart is fully content.

Likewise, celebrations for the new collection took place on our tropical shores earlier this week at the contemporary Restaurant Born, where guests were invited to dive into the collection firsthand. The private Blue Party saw the likes of Thailand’s Jeff Satur and singer Sorn, as well as local stars such as Chantalle Ng, Desmond Tan, Lawrence Wong and Yoyo Cao.

Instead of new creations, the Maison channelled oceanic tones into four of their most iconic collections – Force 10, Chance Infinie, Pretty Woman and Pain de Sucre, where aquamarine, blue topaz, sapphire, lapis lazuli, turquoise, amazonite and rock crystal take centre stage to showcase the brilliance of the Riviera, from its glistening waters to the fresh sea air.
