Joyful and precious, effortless and gender-neutral, a new glamour for the comfort era. These are just some of the words that Swarovski’s Giovanna Engelbert uses to describe her vision for the world’s most famous crystal house when we spoke to her earlier this year upon her appointment as its new Global Creative Director. And the unveil of her debut jewellery collection for the brand did much to usher in the new vision: The designs in Collection I boast an exuberant spectrum of vibrant hues and bold, extravagant sizes that do nothing but bring a smile on the faces on all who lay eyes on it.

Now that the brand has thrown open the doors to its first Southeast Asian “Instant Wonder” concept store (just one of 28 to be launched globally), you can experience the “new Swarovski” at the recently refurbished boutique at Marina Bay Sands – right in time for its 125th anniversary this year.
Showcasing the brand’s full range of lifestyle products including jewellery, watches, accessories and decorative crystal creations, the retail space presents a feast for the senses with colours and textures all coming together in homage to the transformative nature of crystal. Plush pink and verdant green hues dress the store, complemented with walls that are lined from floor to ceiling with products framed by the brand’s new octagonal packaging boxes. It’s an imaginative conceptual space that makes for an Instagrammer’s dream with picture perfect opportunities at every turn of the lens.
