Fans hoping to watch Beyoncé perform at Coachella will have to wait another year. The singer has dropped out of the 2017 festival lineup, but will perform next year in 2018. The pop star, who is currently pregnant with twins, had to cancel her set under doctor's orders.

Bey's Parkwood Entertainment company and Goldenvoice, which produces the famed festival, released a statement to the Associated Press:

"Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding."

News broke in January that the singer would headline Coachella, along with Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead, though rumours of her performance started circulating as early as November 2016. Beyoncé was originally scheduled to play on April 15 and 22. This would have marked her first time performing at the festival. As of right now, it is unknown whether she'll be replaced by another artist.
