The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show isn't just about the Angels that walk down the runway, or the insane lingerie creations, or even the jaw-dropping wings that are made especially for the Angels. A good majority of people tune in for the amazing performances from A-list artists, who provide the ultimate music for these Angels to strut to. From Bruno Mars, Rihanna to Lady Gaga, the big music names that grace the Victoria's Secret fashion shows are just as important as the garments and models.

This year, for the first time in VS history, a Chinese singer is set to perform in front of millions at the coveted VS Fashion Show this year alongside artists like Harry Styles and Miguel. Her name is Jane Zhang. Though she is an incredibly talented artist, some of you may not be familiar with this gorgeous 32-year-old Chinese singer-songwriter. We're telling you 5 things you need to know about Jane Zhang:

1. Jane has been affectionately nicknamed as 'Dolphin Princess' by her fans in China.

Why? It's because she has such an incredible vocal range, reaching notes that most humans cannot hit. Yep, you read right. Humans. Similar to Mariah Carey, Jane can sing in 5 octaves and hit the "whistle note" range, which is one of the highest vocal notes. She does this so effortlessly that it seems almost unreal. Though Jane sings mostly Chinese pop songs, she can sing a variety of genres from jazz to opera. Just listen to her hit that note in the video above.

2. She was discovered through a Chinese singing competition called 'Super Girl'.

And she didn't even win! Jane landed at third place in the 2005 Chinese singing contest 'Super Girl'. Despite not winning the popular vote overall, Jane managed to land a recording contract and this started her singing career. She has 6 studio albums now under her belt. Most notably, she received international praise for her song "Painted Heart" for the Chinese film 'Painted Skin'. It won her an award for Best Original Film Song at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

3. Jane was on The Oprah Winfrey Show!

You know you made it when Oprah Winfrey knows your name. Apparently the host was so impressed by Jane that she invited her to the show! Even the critical Simon Cowell gave her a nod of approval. From then on, Jane has been garnering more and more international attention. So much so that BBC even wrote an article about how she might be China's first Global star to bridge the gap between Chinese pop and Western songs.

4. Her first English single was an absolute visual and audio spectacle!

In late 2016, Jane released her first English single produced by none other than Timbaland. The catchy song is called 'Dust My Shoulders Off'. Her singing chops and pop beats aside, the creativity of the music video itself is next level, reflecting the Chinese pop star's fun personality whilst making a memorable impact. The video parodies great works of art and injects humour into them. It's a refreshing change of pace from sexy, "American-style" music videos that most International artists tend to opt for when they are wanting to break into the Western market.

5. Jane makes history as the first Chinese artist to sing on The 2017 VS Fashion Show.

Many were surprised on varying levels when Jane Zhang was announced as a performer at The 2017 VS Fashion Show. Some were surprised that household names such as Wang Lee Hom or Jay Chou were not chosen. Others were surprised that an Asian artist was picked in the first place as the show often picks primarily international acts. But knowing the incredible talent and grace that Jane Zhang possesses, she will probably shock (and rock) the world with a flawless performance, rivalling any Grammy-winning artist. Way to go, Jane!
