These Incredible Photos Will Make You Rethink An All Black Wedding

The #blackwedding scene from the popular 'Wildflower' TV series is going viral

Black Wedding

Even if you aren't following this super popular drama TV series from The Philippines, it's okay. You just have to watch the last scene that aired recently because it will convince you to watch this melodrama that is riddled with revenge and plot twists. The epic scene we are talking about is, of course, "The Black Wedding" that has about a thousand revelations and was chock full of chaos. Chaos and drama aside, the scene makes a strong case for a gothic bride and a black themed wedding, because Maja Salvador's character looked absolutely stunning in an all-black, voluminous wedding gown.

Black is not only an unconventional colour for a wedding, it is also controversial in The Philippines. For the reason why her character is wearing black on her wedding day, we highly suggest watching the show, but let's just take a moment to appreciate the wedding decor and gown that is just impeccable. They truly have made a solid case for a black wedding (sans all the revenge and murder plotting).

It was dubbed the wildest wedding on television and we couldn't agree more. The unconventional yet stunning black bridal gown was designed by Makati-based designer Val Taguba. According to the TV show's stylist, the sweetheart bodice and voluminous skirt is made entirely out of French lace and encrusted with Swarovski crystals that create a sparkling contrast against the black. They were inspired by Royal Spanish Weddings and we can definitely see it.

The cherry on top is a black veil, held by a diamond-studded pieneta and a 9 carat diamond eternity necklace. The perfect accessory for a rich and vengeful princess, that is Ivy Aguas.

Her makeup was not ethereal but fierce and elegant. A strong brow and matte lips and lots of black eyeliner is the perfect compliment to the hauntingly beautiful gown. And *gasp* the bouquet! An abundance of dusty purple peonies, tinted slightly to create a muted almost "dead" colour without losing its beauty. So freaking gorgeous and such a cool twist to the usual delicate wedding bouquets. We are fans!

Though we couldn't see the rest of the wedding decor, thanks to all the drama and chaos that ensued. We think you can get inspiration from these stylish black-themed wedding decor below and have yourself a wedding no one will ever forget.
