We know it's a time for love and goodwill and all that, but it wouldn't be the festive season if there wasn't a bit of tension between the in-laws, would it?

Despite being engaged to royalty, Meghan Markle's experience over Christmas included just that, as her half-sister has been airing her grievances about Meghan's new husband-to-be.

Responding to comments made by Prince Harry during his stint as guest editor on Radio 4's Today programme yesterday (December 27), Samantha Grant has insisted that Meghan has always had a very big, and very loving, family.

Discussing how he and Meghan spent their Christmas Day together, Prince Harry told listeners: "She's done an absolutely amazing job, she's getting in there and it's the family that I suppose she's never had."

Samantha appeared to take issue with that, as she set the record straight over on Twitter. "Actually she has a large family who were always there with her and for her," she wrote.

"Our household was very normal and when dad and Doria divorced, we all made it so it was like she had two houses. No one was estranged, she was just too busy.

"Read my book complete with facts and photos," she added.

Going on to say that marrying Harry will 'merely extend' her already large family, Grant told one fan: "She has a large family. She always did. Our dad is amazing and completely self sacrificing."

"We made it so that she had two houses. How fun it was!"

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.

But hey, the Christmas period is stressful for everyone—Royal or no Royal.
