Pippa Middleton Pregnant
Pippa Middleton has confirmed she's expecting her first child in a new fitness column for Waitrose Weekend, a publication linked to the U.K. grocery. In the piece, titled "Exercising during pregnancy," she shares the "joys of the first trimester and the challenges she faces in adjusting her exercise regime to be as healthy as possible during this exciting time."
"I've noticed my body change but through exercise I feel it's being strengthened," Middleton said of her pregnancy. She also shared that workouts like lunges, squats, and reverse flyes are ideal for expectant moms.
It was first rumored that Middleton was pregnant in April, days before her sister the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her third child. Reports at the time said that Pippa had already told her friends and family the news.
A source told the Sunday Express that "When Pippa found out she was pregnant, she was obviously thrilled and utterly overjoyed," and that the baby news "provided some much-needed happiness." The insider added that Kate Middleton "could not have been more delighted" to hear that her younger sister is expecting.
This marks Pippa's first child with husband James Matthews, whom she wed in a nearly-royal ceremony in May 2017. Members of the royal family were present, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Middleton was recently seen at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding on May 19 in a floral long-sleeved dress and nude fascinator. She's also been seen out and about in Chelsea and at the French Open.
