Princess Eugenie's Engagement Photos Are Royal Perfection

Princess Eugenie and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank posed for photos at Buckingham Palace to celebrate their engagement, which the royal family announced this morning. The couple is set to wed in autumn 2018 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle—the same place where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting married on May 19.

The duo is all smiles in the new images, which were captured at the palace's Picture Gallery.

The royal bride-to-be flaunted her stunning engagement ring, featuring a rosy padparadscha sapphire surrounded by a ring of several smaller diamonds. She also wore an Erdem floral dress and Jimmy Choo pumps for the occasion, People reports.

Majesty Magazine pointed out that the piece of jewelry looked a lot like her mother the Duchess of York's. It also had a similar design to Kate Middleton's engagement ring, which once belonged to Princess Diana, except hers includes a dark blue sapphire.

Though the news was announced today, the couple actually got engaged earlier this month in Nicaragua, according to Buckingham Palace. The announcement arrives almost two months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's.

Princess Eugenie of York, 27, is Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter, Prince Andrew's younger daughter and Prince William and Prince Harry's cousin. Brooksbank, 30, is the former manager of Mahiki, a nightclub in Mayfair, London. Now, he's an ambassador for Casamigos, the tequila company owned by George Clooney, Rande Gerber (Cindy Crawford's husband) and Mike Meldman.

The pair has been dating for several years, and is believed to have met in 2010 while skiing in Verbier, Switzerland. Congratulations to the happy couple!
