Taylor Swift Becomes World’s Highest-Earning Music Star

Taylor Swift has been named the world’s highest-earning musician.

The 25-year-old singer has reportedly earned $317.8 million (approximately £205.5 million) so far this year, according to The Sunday Express. That totals an earning of over $1 million (approximately £646,000) per day.

This news comes after she and her boyfriend Calvin Harris were named the highest-earning celebrity couple by Forbes back in June, knocking previous record holders Jay Z and Beyoncé off the top spot.

Swift’s financial success doesn’t come as that much of a surprise when you take into account what she’s been up to recently. Her award-winning number-one album 1989 went platinum last year, selling nearly 1.3 million copies in the first week of its release, and her world tour of the same name sold out completely. That’s not to mention her numerous product endorsements, including Keds, Elizabeth Arden and Diet Coke. Swift is showing no signs of slowing down, and we can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.
