The idea behind the Apartment, an airy third floor space in New York's Soho, is to put merchandise into context. Las Vegas isn't most people's default when it comes to culture, but The Writer's Block in the city's downtown district is the perfect place to spend an afternoon. A fake forest filled with artificial birds is the backdrop to this intimate independent book store, which also doubles up as a workshop for aspiring writers and bookmakers.
