Christmas is a time for giving and this festive season the best way to give back to those less fortunate is with Dine To Dream. Organised by Beautiful People, a community-based organisation that believes in building mentoring relationships that empower and transform lives, Dine To Dream is a charitable campaign which brings together more than 50 Singapore F&B brands with one goal in mind: To ensure that less advantaged in society and at-risk young people’s dreams matter.

"During the holiday season we want to bring people together to give back to the less advantaged in society, and there’s no better way than to create a convivial atmosphere around giving than through good food, good friends and to do good at the same time,” explained Meena Mylvaganam, fundraising chair of Beautiful People’s Dine To Dream campaign.

From Michelin Star restaurants, bars on the World’s 50 Best list, and renowned Singapore cafés, each restaurant that has signed up is participating in different ways. Some restaurants are hosting a one-time-only events; others are giving a $1 per every patron who walks through their doors; or, a few have created special festive menus with a portion of the proceeds from sales of those specially created dishes to benefit the organisation.

“Our lifestyle concept restaurants are set within heritage listed venues and Singapore’s heritage is rooted in local communities,” said Loh Lik Peng, founding director of Unlisted Collection. “When Beautiful People approached us about giving back to Singapore’s less advantaged, especially during the gift giving season, it was a no-brainer for the entire collection to join in the organisation’s mission to change lives”, he added.
