Kathryn Hahn Is Getting Her Own WandaVision Spin-off

Kathryn Hahn's fan-favourite WandaVision character is getting her own show.

Variety reports that Marvel Studios is developing a Disney Plus show all about Agatha Harkness, the sitcom neighbour turned Big Bad from the hit series WandaVision. Hahn received accolades from critics and fans for the role, as well as an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie.

In addition to being a standout role for the comedic actress, Harkness is one of the Marvel's comics most powerful witches, who has lived for centuries and survived the Salem Witch Trials.

Though Marvel Studios is historically spoiler-averse, sources told Variety that the new series is a "dark comedy," and that WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer would serve as the writer and executive producer.

Hahn told BAZAAR.com that playing the larger-than-life villain was a departure from her previous work, including the film franchise Bad Moms, HBO’s Mrs. Fletcher, and Amazon’s I Love Dick.
