- In a new interview on Australian radio's The Kyle and Jackie O ShowKaty Perry opened up about her pregnancy and talked about how "grateful" she is for her pregnant body.

- Throughout her pregnancy, the pop star has shared details about her and fiancé Orlando Bloom's impending parenthood together, from the gender reveal to their baby's funny nickname.

No doubt Katy Perry is excited for her little one's arrival. Throughout her pregnancy, the pop star, whose due date is reportedly sometime this summer, has been candid about her experience, revealing her funny nickname for her baby and showing off her baby bump in stunning selfies. Now, Perry has opened up even more.

During an interview on Australian radio's The Kyle and Jackie O Show, she talked about what it's like to be pregnant and on the go in the midst of a pandemic and nationwide protests. "I'm a very active woman and an active mom, and during this time of COVID—and quite frankly, American revolution," she said, "I have been also putting out songs and heading towards putting out a record August 14th, so I'm working really hard. The one blessing is that I don't have to travel extremely, which really can take it out on you."

She added that her perspective toward women in general has changed after becoming pregnant. "I'm really grateful for my body, and I have so much respect for women," she said. "Obviously, going through this process, you just get a whole new viewpoint. But everything is swollen. My hands are swollen. My feet are starting to swell. It's starting to get to that point." She later added, "I like not watching the hands of time roll by, and I like being a mother on the move."

Perry previously revealed on The Graham Norton Show that she had been learning a lot about motherhood during quarantine, hunkering down with fiancé Orlando Bloom and some very young relatives, "a three-year-old and a six-year-old and my brother has an eight-month-old baby," she said.

"I'm learning to be a mom fast," she joked, adding, "Kids gravitate towards me through my music, so I am used to them, but I am not used to being woken up really early in the morning by them staring at me from the side of my bed."
