Black is the new black.

Take it from Lily James, who seemed to channel the sultry vixen attitude of Pamela Anderson in the all-black outfit she wore for a recent guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The actress, who plays Anderson in Hulu's Pam & Tommy, teamed up with stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray on a trio of matching black pieces from Poland-based luxury designer Magda Butrym. The outfit included a classic tuxedo blazer in silk, a pair of slouchy tapered trousers, and a strappy halter top with floral ruffles. She accessorized with black pointed Jimmy Choo pumps, Anita Ko jewelry, and narrow black shades (à la '90s eyewear trends).

The Downton Abbey alum costars alongside Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee in the Hulu miniseries, which premiered yesterday. The show covers the couple's whirlwind romance and the leaking of their honeymoon sex tape.

Ahead of the series premiere, the show's special makeup effects designer, Jason Collins, and hair department head, Barry Lee Moe, spoke to BAZAAR.com about transforming James into the blonde bombshell (hint: It included a lot of prosthetics).

"We went through approximately 65 to 70 Pam foreheads throughout shooting," Collins said of using forehead appliances in an effort to match the distance between James's brows and hairline to Anderson's. "The appliances are made out of gel-filled silicone appliances, which move like real skin and absorb light similarly."

All in all, the transformation succeeded in making James look nearly identical to the model. As Moe told us, "Lily's performance was spot on, and the look of it all—if you look at videos side by side, it'd be hard to determine which was which."
