Prince Harry is set to reunite with his family at the coronation of his father, King Charles III.

Buckingham Palace and an Archewell spokesperson have confirmed the Duke of Sussex's attendance to BAZAAR.com. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, will not be joining her husband, they said.

"Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on May 6th," the palace said in a statement. "The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."

BAZAAR understands that Archie's fourth birthday, which is the same day as the coronation, has influenced Meghan's decision to stay behind. And while Harry is expected to attend the coronation ceremony, he will not attend other related engagements over the weekend.

BAZAAR confirmed last month that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had "recently received" email correspondence from Buckingham Palace regarding the coronation.

The couple had originally intended to keep the details of the correspondence private, but confirmed receipt after a royal aide briefed Britain’s Times of London on Saturday that an invitation had been sent out.

"An immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time," a spokesperson told BAZAAR at the time.

The coronation ceremony of King Charles and Camilla, the queen consort, will occur at Westminster Abbey. The celebration will take place over three days, with a concert happening at Windsor Castle on May 7 and the Coronation "Big Lunch" (a public holiday in which members of the public are encouraged to share food together) on May 8.
