Whoever said that youth is wasted on the young hasn’t met this trio of 20-somethings. If anything, Ashley Bei, Trishna Goklani and Ellie Tan have encapsulated the zeitgeist of millennial living through drool-worthy pictures that populate their Instagram feeds.

“Age is but a number,” 22-year-old Goklani affirms, “and it shouldn’t set the limits to what we can or cannot do.”

Coupled with a fearless attitude, their cool #ootd shots, framed against picturesque backdrops, have struck a chord with thousands of followers who like their accessible take on streetwear.

Beyond looking cookie-cutter, 22-year-old Bei wants to curate her content so that it evolves into an artistic mood board of sorts. It’s no wonder she’s keeping an eye on other accounts that exude the same sense of effortlessness. “Instagram should be easy!” Bei says.

For Tan though, the biggest attraction Instagram has is that it allows her to connect with the world. On a recent trip to Seoul, the 21-year-old was approached by a fan from Philadelphia who recognised her on the streets. “This is what social media should be—bringing people with all sorts of backgrounds together,” she adds. “And I think that’s really, really awesome.”
