Known for his boyish charm and genre-defying sets, Eden Cai is the DJ of choice at the events of fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Prada and Chanel. He has played to crowds in London, Stockholm and Shanghai. He looks up to British DJ Benji B, who has been the music director for Louis Vuitton and CELINE. While music nourishes Cai’s soul, fashion satisfies his need for self-expression. He takes his style cues from Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue, favouring his fondness for oversize, relaxed fits, and attention to little details like cut and fabric.

“If I were to liken my DJ sets to a brand, it’d be Stüssy. It draws influences from different subcultures and is accessible and relevant to youths and adults alike. Stüssy has been the source of inspiration for so many streetwear brands, even after almost four decades. I aspire to be that: A continued source of inspiration for others.”

Through them, I discovered underground hip-hop beats and street dance. It led me to collecting records and learning to DJ with vinyls.”
