The Internet Is Divided Over Chris Pine's Hair

With all the buzz and drama surrounding the premiere of Olivia Wilde’s new film, Don’t Worry Darling, two sides are forming: Are you a fan of Chris Pine’s long, blond hair, or do you prefer something shorter?

Pine attended the Venice Film Festival with the film’s cast and crew including Florence Pugh and Harry Styles. His whole look revolved around his statement-making hair: shoulder-length and highlighted blond with hints of gray and chestnut brown, and ombré ends flipped up like they had been expertly sculpted with a round brush. His hair right now is equal parts chaos and beauty. Rightfully, the Internet doesn’t know how to feel.

For some, Pine’s new hair length helps finally give him an identity outside the other Hollywood Chrises (Pratt, Evans, et cetera).

Others feel like his blond bob is a statement made in solidarity with his costar Florence Pugh, who has been at the center of drama surrounding the Don’t Worry Darling press tour.

It’s safe to say that men and women alike will be asking for the “Chris Pine” cut and color at their next salon appointment.

But not everyone prefers Pine with long, Brad Pitt–esque hair.

It should be noted that Pine has been wearing his hair long and shaggy for months now. He told Entertainment Tonight back in March that his new look was “equal parts laziness and equal parts something I may do in the future here.” He continued, “If there’s any excuse not to shave and have makeup put on, I, you know… .” Relatable!

His hair was accompanied by a full salt-and-pepper beard earlier this year, but he shaved it off in the spring.
