Travis Scott Fronts The Air Dior Campaign With Refined Flair
The campaign sees Scott modeling timeless sports styles
Following the launch of the highly-anticipated Air Jordan 1 OG Dior sneakers in June, the French luxury maison has unveiled its official Air Dior campaign—starring rapper and muse Travis Scott—to mark the exclusive collection drop in collaboration with the Jordan Brand.
The campaign sees Scott modeling refined pieces from the accompanying capsule that "balances timeless silhouettes from the Jordan and Dior vaults while bringing new life to classic sports styles"—think: blazer suits, basketball-style silk shorts, as well as knits emblazoned with Dior-branded insignia.
Initially set for release in April this year, the launch of Air Dior had to be postponed in light of the pandemic. The collection's perfect marriage of luxury and sportswear, however, lent itself to being one of the most hyped collaborations of 2020.
Says Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Dior Men: “I love mixing together different worlds, different ideas – Jordan Brand and Dior are both emblematic of absolute excellence in their fields. To bring them together in this special collaboration is to propose something exciting and truly new.”
The collection is available to shop at a selection of Dior pop-ups and boutiques.
