"I find face masks really relaxing (and let’s not lie, entertaining), so I’d probably use one even if it didn’t have any true skincare benefits. This one though never fails to lift both my sprits and my complexion, with its cocooning texture that is indulgent but not suffocating. Apply it for 15 minutes, using that time to let yourself switch off, and you’ll arise with skin that looks visibly more hydrated and glowy, even if your stress levels are at an all-time high." – Becki Murray, beauty editor

"My working desk is littered with my favourite scents (which I miss dearly). I would choose notes that would bolster my mood ahead of a meeting, focus my mind just before turning pen to paper or give me a lift after a long day. My ‘at home’ collection kicked off this week with YMC Bon Parfumeur, a newcomer which the eponymous fashion label launched this week. I chose the tangerine, cinnamon and sandalwood scent, the citrus note instantly focusing my attention, while the sandalwood accent envelops my skin with a quite addictive warmth." – Katy Young, beauty director

"Hunched in front of a laptop all day at six months pregnant is taking its toll on my back and I’m finding a warm bath in the evening helps remedy the aches and growing pains. Using the Jo Malone London Bath Oil instantly makes makes it luxurious. The signature scent of the brand’s zesty, yet peppery Lime Basil & Mandarin fills the room making me take that ‘and breathe’ moment, and the nourishing oil leaves my skin conditioned. I pop on a podcast and forget about the day for 15 minutes." – Bridget March, digital beauty director

"I’ve always loved a hair mask – there’s something almost gluttonous about scooping out handfuls of the stuff to cover your hair. Right now I have been using the Kérastase Discipline Maskeratine Masque, which I’ve become so dependent upon I fear the day it runs out. It feels like the biggest treat every time I use it, and helps my hair look polished enough while we are at home and I’m not using my straighteners. Smooth it on before bed and leave overnight if you want impossibly soft and sleek hair the next morning." – Meg Honigmann, assistant beauty editor

"I’ve always been useless at moisturising my body (much to the distain of our beauty director who does so without fail), but I rediscovered Aveeno’s Moisturising Body Lotion in my mother’s bathroom on the second day of ‘lockdown’ and now I’m hooked. It’s had a real impact on the dryness I used to ignore, especially on my elbows and legs, and it even doubles up as a massage lotion for releasing tension from my shoulders." – Becki Murray, beauty editor

"As so much of our daily routine has disappeared, I’m finding great comfort in daily rituals, which give me a vague sense of order. Having turned my kitchen table into my desk, I’ve placed a candle next to my pencil pot to create some kind of working space, lighting it every morning with my first cup of tea. I’ve chosen CLEAN Space Fresh Linen, not just for the scent, which seems to clear the air with its ‘freshly washed’ fragrance, but also because the soy wax burns without leaving any toxins behind in my kitchen." – Katy Young, beauty director

"Foot care is normally delegated to the bottom of my beauty to-do list, but now there’s time to spend on it I’m actually finding it quite therapeutic. Weirdly satisfying, this mega foot file uses compressed crystal technology to remove dead skin and leave your soles post-pedicure soft. The pads are replaceable (it’s comes with two and you can buy more separately), making it sustainable - and reassuringly hygienic." – Bridget March, digital beauty director

"One of the things I think I’m going to really miss when we finally stop our working from home regime is wearing face masks at my desk. After the day’s video calls are done, I cover my face in Dr Barbara Sturm’s Face Mask and sit there typing away happily. Already a massive fan of her Face Cream and Face Cream Rich, in my eyes Sturm can do no wrong. The German aesthetics doctor has filled this mask with all the things my terribly dry skin needs – aloe vera and vitamin E to nourish, and purslane (a green edible succulent packed with nutrients) to help inflammation. It’s soothing and calm – never irritating sensitive skin. I’m aiming to leave lockdown glowing…" – Meg Honigmann, assistant beauty editor

"Normally, I much prefer a shower to bathing as dwelling in gradually cooler and cooler water doesn’t appeal, but training for a half-marathon means I need all the motivation I can get to cover the necessary distances. These salts smell incredible and get to work on helping soothe my tired and heavy legs quickly, so I can treat myself to a quick soak post-run and make my bathroom feel a little more like a spa." – Becki Murray, beauty editor

"I’ve been addicted to hand cream for 20 years now, no handbag complete without a tube. In recent weeks we have all needed a pot of our own soothing balm, to restore what extra hand washing is (quite rightly) leaching out. Deeply healing, but without heavy grease, I have gone back to this cream, its cold pressed lemon oil so uplifting, while the calendula and comfrey really soothe my parched, sore skin." – Katy Young, beauty director

"Like many, during the lockdown I will be missing my scheduled hairdressing appointments (I see the wonderful Rob for cut and Amy for colour at Larry King) - so I’m trying to practice a bit of self-care for hair at home instead. The best mask I’ve found that tackles both condition and colour is this; it hydrates and strengthens the hair, while restoring tone and shine. I apply it in the bath and see it as a symbol that tomorrow will be a better hair day (even if everything else about it feels a bit Groundhog-like)." –Bridget March, digital beauty director

"Not quite immediate pampering, more of a future beauty insurance policy, while we are all tucked away inside I’m attempting to be utterly religious about finally committing to lash serums. It’s not that I’ve never wanted to, but now my social calendar is completely empty it’s much easier to stick to a routine. I’m applying Revitalash to the top of my lashline each night before I go to sleep. Hopefully, by the time we are out of lockdown I will be practically unrecognisable behind new fluttery lashes." – Meg Honigmann, assistant beauty editor
