While many of us have only been reaching for the concealer and mascara in our beauty bags recently, it might be hard to imagine getting excited to put on a full face. But whenever the mood strikes to play with makeup again, the fall runways have provided endless inspiration. From expressive eye makeup to fresh lip shades that will grab attention on zoom calls, read on for the looks we’re expecting to see everywhere.
1. Over Liner

Consider wearing liner and shadow outside the bounds of your lash lines. At Prada, floating rectangles of iridescent shadow gave every model a striking, futuristic vibe.
You probably already have a black eyeliner in your kit. Use it to add abstract lines to a cat eye for a modern twist on a classic '60s look.
Or if you're feeling playful, experiment with a colored eyeliner. Bonus points if you match your makeup to your accessories.
2. Easy Glow

This season, high-shine cheekbones are taking a backseat to fresh-faced radiance. At Isabel Marant, models appeared naturally dewy–like they just applied at 10-step skincare routine.

This one might not be for every day. But with all the attention on the eyes at the moment, it's tempting to add on extra sparkle like the bejewelled eyes seen at Giambattista Valli.

Meanwhile, at Christopher John Rogers, crystal-studded arches gave us serious brow envy. Use a little lash glue to help the crystals stick.
4. Extra Liner
Kohl rimmed lids give your gaze instant intensity. At Marc Jacobs, over 100 dancers and models all wore variations of black eyeliner, proving its a trend everyone can wear and customize.

Models at Max Mara also rocked smudgy liner that's suitable for anyone that wants to add an edge to their ensemble.

At Jason Wu, models also wore a similar hot shade paired with an almost bare face.

The graphic black eyeliner and dark crystals at Valentino gave us an elevated version of mall goth.
Rodarte showed an easier way to try the vampiric trend with moody bordeaux lips and flirty lashes.

Likewise, models at Loewe walked the runways with softly brushed arches. Think fluffy, not filled.

There's never been a better time to dip a brush into the eyeshadow shades you usually eschew for neutrals. Check out the large swathes of bright color used at Maison Margiela.
There is no limit to the number of shades you can wear are your lids at once. Painting on a full rainbow look can be both incredibly cathartic and Instagram-friendly.
