Her perfect scent is Goldea, The Roman Night, the third in the Goldea (golden goddess) series of perfumes by Bulgari. This time, the inspiration came from Rome, the Eternal City, after dark. Bathed in a golden glow, it’s majestic, romantic, glamorous and adventurous.

The fragrance is a bewitching combination of chypre, floral and musk notes, with touches of fruits. It opens with luscious, ripe mulberry notes and an intensely floral black peony. At its heart, there’s a combination of white flowers – feminine jasmine and sensuous tuberose absolute. In the drydown, there’s black musk and patchouli to add strength, and the brightness of vetiver root. The combination is powerful and irresistible: light enough for day and sensuous enough for night.

The bottle is as beautiful as its contents. Round, black and sleek, with a ring of silver, it is inspired by the alignment of the sun, moon and earth. The top is gold, and adorned with the brand’s signature Serpenti motif, the snake-like pattern that is often featured on its bags and jewellery.
You may not be in Rome, but you certainly can revel in its grandeur and magic. To woo young millenials here, Bulgari collaborated with Singapore’s style star and leading fashion influencer, Yoyo Cao. In the 30-second video, we see Yoyo dressed in a chic black-and-white suit. With a single spray of Goldea, her outfit transforms into a gold dress with tulle skirt, worn over a turtleneck.
