Ciara is now the newest face of Revlon, the cosmetics brand announced today. Being named global brand ambassador is a pretty sweet gig, but for the singer, it's more than just a cool job, it's basically fate—she was named after a 1973 Revlon perfume, after all.

"It was a gift given to my mother from my father, and she fell in love with the scent and the name," she said.
Now, the 30-year-old singer and actress is set to star in Revlon's campaigns, including its Choose Love initiative. Her first ad launches on 22 Oct.

"I'm so, so excited to share that my lifelong dream has come true!" she sing-songed in an announcement video on Instagram. Watch the clip, in which she's adroably dressed in a robe and towel, below.

Her husband Russell Wilson, whom she married in July, showed nothing but support. "Congrats my sweet love," he captioned a photo to celebrate her new title.
