Most stars start planning out their Met Gala look as soon as the theme is announced; at the least, a couple weeks before. Not Lily-Rose Depp, who had no idea what her makeup would look like until Sam Bryant walked into her hotel room earlier today. “She had this beautiful white dress on, so I wanted her to look soft and dreamy, which is why we chose a pretty mauve eye shadow,” said Bryant. She brushed a wash of pink shadow (Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in Rose Pétale) across the lids, blended the mauve and dark purple shades from the Quadra Eyeshadow Palette in Tissé Cambon in the crease and corners for definition and finished with amber liner and mascara (pro tip: curl the lashes, apply mascara, then heat up a lash curler and go over the lashes one more time). On the lips, Depp wore a pencil that was already in her bag, one that she told Bryant she loves wearing—Precision Lip Definer in Natural—and took that with her for touch-ups. As for the vibe, “she was just super excited to be going, so we chatted about that mostly and listened to her music,” said Bryant.
