With Gucci’s recent shift towards romantic femininity, the house has released a limited edition pink version of their Gucci Bamboo fragrance. The fragrance is housed in a rosy crystal while keeping its signature silver bamboo cap. The box design is also updated, it is now a romantic pink with illustrations of small birds in a bamboo garden. Though the scent has not changed, this pink hue is seems to be a more accurate representation of the fragrance’s delicate white floral scent.

The campaign was initially headed by Gal Gadot (yes, Wonder Woman herself) but now, model, Polina Oganicheva is the new face of the Bamboo campaign. In the campaign shots, she is dressed in a pink lace and silk ruffled gown on a wicker chair, echoing Gucci’s take on Renaissance romance in their Spring Ready-To-Wear 2017 collection. Since its release in 2015, Gucci Bamboo has been well-received for its woody floral composition. Gucci Bamboo proves that you don’t have to shout to be heard, and subtlety is more alluring than brash obviousness. The scent is a ode to grace and femininity. It opens with bright citrusy accords of bergamot leading to the exotic floral heart of ylang-ylang, Casablanca lily and orange blossom. The delicate nature of its opening is then grounded by intense notes of sandalwood, Tahitian vanilla and amber, forming the base. The woody contrast creates a balance of strength and vulnerability that is the epitome of sophisticated womanliness.
